Beyond the parade at the Sambadrome, these days will be a great opportunity to relax on Rio’s beaches, explore Brazilian fashion and cuisine, and experience the city’s vibrant nightlife.

Activities in Rio
The pre-wedding program in Rio is completely optional but highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience something truly unforgettable in Brazil before the big day. More details will be shared as the schedule is confirmed.

The Greatest Show on Earth
The Rio Carnival dates back to the 19th century. Inspired by old European festivities, it evolved into a unique expression of Brazilian culture, marked by samba, costumes, creativity, and collective joy.
The samba schools are large cultural associations that parade through the Marquês de Sapucaí, competing with one another through themes, costumes, floats, and percussion, in a spectacular fusion of music, art, and emotion.

Four Samba Schools
The Portela VIP Box ticket includes open bar, full buffet throughout the event, and live samba performances between parades. It also provides round-trip transportation from the JW Marriott Copacabana, where you can pick up your ticket and customize your Carnival shirt (abadá).
